Louise Sinclair, 87, of New Martinsville, formerly of Middlebourne, departed this life Sunday March 23, 2008 in Wetzel County Hospital, New Martinsville. She was born April 10, 1920 in Luray, KS a daughter of the late Mortimer and Angella Rose Dragoo.

Louise was a graduate of Kansas State University, Manhattan, KS. She received her Masters Degree from Adams State College, Alamosa, CO in 1972.She taught history and specialized in teaching remedial reading. She was editor of Dragoo Family Newsletter which has members throughout the United States. She was a member of Mensa International where she edited the newsletter in 1980. She was active in the Tyler County Museum. In 2003 she received the History Hero Award from the WV Legislature. In 2003 she also was chosen as Middlebourne Citizen of the year. She was a member of the Middlebourne Methodist Church, Middlebourne.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Edgar Dragoo. Three sisters; Catherine Billings, Elizabeth Krueger and Margaret Smedley.

She is survived by her husband Kenneth Sinclair. Two sons; Robert Sinclair and his wife Frances of Lafayette, CO and James Sinclair and his wife Martha of Cincinatti, OH. A sister Ruth Cloud of Lawrence, KS. There are four grandchildren.

There will be a graveside service Wednesday 3:00 pm at Spring Hill Cemetery, Joseph's Mills with Reverend Donald Thomas officiating. Interment in the cemetery to follow.
