Life Legacy
Saramae McHenry, 90, of Middlebourne departed this life Thursday July 29, 2010 in Judge’s Personal Care Home, Middlebourne. She was born June 11, 1920 in Tyler County a daughter of the late William and Maggie Mae Norris Moffitt.
Saramae was a retired employee of Corning Glass, Paden City and a former employee of the Tyler County Board of Education as a cook. She was a member of the United Christian Fellowship Church, Middlebourne.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Donald O. McHenry in 1987. Two brothers; William and Robert Moffitt. Seven sisters; Violet Scott, Alda Hatfield, Vera Marling, Genieve Wells, Hazel Adams and two infant sisters Mary and Margaret Moffitt.
Saramae is survived by two sons; Dennis Neal ( Sue ) McHenry, Salem, WV and Timothy ( Connie ) McHenry, Middlebourne. A daughter Donna Sue ( Darrell ) Brown, Clarington, OH. Eight grandchildren.
Friends will be received at Furbee Funeral Home, Middlebourne Friday 6 - 9 pm. The funeral service will be held Saturday 11:00 am at Mt. Olive Baptist Church Salem, WV with Pastor Mike Lenz officiating, interment to follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Salem.
