Biography

John Frances Stevens, 84, of Wick departed this life Friday, February 26, 2010 at his home. He was born May 15, 1925 in Tyler County a son of the late Elijah and Delma Laugh Stevens.

John was a retired employee of Ormet Corporation, Hannibal, OH. He attended the Tyler City Pentecostal Church of God.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Louise Baker Stevens in 2002. A brother Charlie Stevens. Six sisters; Mary Stevens, Elma Seders, Nellie Spencer, Molly Riggs, Clara McCracken and Hattie Frampton.

John is survived by three sons; David Stevens and Diane Nichols, Wick, Larry Stevens and wife Donna, Alma and Roger Stevens and wife Sandra, Wick. A daughter Clara Stevens, Wick. A sister Zelma Maupin, Sistersville. Seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Friends will be received Sunday 2 - 4 pm and 7 - 9 pm, Furbee Funeral Home, Middlebourne where services will be held Monday 1:00 pm with Reverend Donald Thomas officiating. Interment Middlebourne Cemetery, Middlebourne.
